Ok just hooked up my new clarion dxz655mp head unit.
I wired the cars front speaker wires to the head units front pre outs- turned all the way up and the sound was very low. I then tried running the cars wires to the head unit front speaker wires and it has plenty of volume.
The question is... Will i fry or damage the factory amp by supplying it with the head units amplified speaker wires?
I have done lots of stereos but never a car with a "factory amp".
Thanks for any insight.
