The problem has been occurring for a few months now. About 85% of the time I drive, I have to literally force into first gear. Every other gear is fine. My dad has the manual crossfire as well and I drove his for a month and it was very smooth. I told the service department what was going on when I got it serviced but they said they didn't know what it was. I'm taking it in back in next week. The service department said the guy who would be able to fix it is going to transmission school for crossfire's on tues... lol. If anyone has thoughts that would be greatly appreciated.

I assume that you go into 2nd before 1st just to be sure when you start off. Having said that, have you had DC adjust the linkage with the Special Tool 9120? If not, that may just fix it. If that doesn't do it, then some internal work is probably needed.
