No EGR valve has no ticking, again there's the typical Chrysler Service Answer they don't know what they are talking about. If i were you i'd take the car to a shop that specializes in Benz' and have them listen to it and you'll see how their answer will be totally different than Chrysler's, and you might even get an accurate diagnosis of the problem right then and there.
