How long before the rear diff goes? I've been drag racing once a month for 2.5 years now and so far so good.

I had to have the most passes than any other. Most on DR's both hoosiers and mickey thompsons, very soft rubber compound and closer to a slick than a drag radial. Besides when the car was stock and I first took it out, below 13's were always on dr's. Next was I only ran on real race days when VHT was put down. A poorly prepped track is when the the box and line are sprayed and not much after the start. An excellent prepped track is VHT to at least 330', but more like 660' when the same races were running 8 sec cars. Then 1500 rpm was max I ever launched at. If you broke the tires loose and then they gripped then loss traction repeatedly on the first 15', I believe you just caused damage to your rear end. This is what to avoid at all cost. I owned mine a little over 3 1/2 years and hit the track very often. Took the car in and gave it a full inspection before I sold it and the rear end was fine. It's driving style on and off the track. Also another sin was doing burnouts on the street. If you hit a good patch and the tires grabbed, your rearend is toast. You can have alot of fun with this car, just know how it likes to be treated. It definitely the most reliable car I've ever owned.
