I've not got the whistling noise. Am coming up to the 24,000 miles service. Will ask them to add this optional extra.

Seriously though, the guys at Weybridge and Farnham (depending which dealer I go to) are pretty good. I will ask them about it, and post if they have any idea.

Odd that it seems to just start like that. Whistling is usually caused by air being blown through a restriction. Similar sounds could be transmission (i.e. rotational) problem - although a sticky handbrake/warped brake disc might also have a similar sound.

Can anyone who gets this please confirm that if happens with windows open AND shut?
