Sprint Booster on the V8... Wow!
I just installed the selectable Sprint Booster on my car. Ever since I put the V8 in I have had to do frequent throttle resets. It seems driving to not get a ticket realy made a big difference in throttle response. Much more so than when I had the original engine in the car. After each reset it seemed so much faster.
I tried to install the SB with the two screw method but had trouble getting the plug off. So I removed the 10mm nut but did not mess with the washer. this allowed the pedal just enough movement to get a better grip on the plug.
Before starting it up with the new SB, I did a throttle reset and then put the SB in the red position. Wow! A little too much. It must have looked to the neighbors like I didn't know how to drive! I then decided to try green. This was a huge improvement over stock. After having a little fun I put it back on red and gradually got used to just barely tocuhing the throttle. This is a great mod but still not sure if red is a good idea with a V8 with all the low end torque. Every time you barely give it the gas you get jerked back pretty hard and having the traction control kick in when leaving your driveway isn't too cool with the neighbors!
