I would also say if this person's actions were really that bad as to cause them to not only be banned, but to have the entire thread deleted, their screen name should be posted and that person should be banned for as many months as the thread was long...posts, not pages.

Im kinda interested too, if its not a permenent ban, Id like to know who said what to caution my communications with the guy. Perhaps a few subtle PMs to him in the future could bring him to reason but from what Ive heard so far he's not responsive to others.
Again, I dont know, yet being called out in front of everyone will promote defensiveness to save face. Better to pull someone aside (PM) and tell him one on one. Again, dont know the situation as I missed it.
