I have a close family friend that was looking at the coupe, but I persuaded her to go for the roadster as I am a huge roadster fan. The roadster is a work of art. There is nothing else on the road like it, but as seems to always be the case, there will always be someone that doesn't like it. From my perspective, here's what I think...

I own a Honda S2000 (and I love my car), but it doesn't have the eye-catching detail that the crossfire has. I have had my car for several years, and sometimes I see a miata on the road and mistake it for an S2000. With the crossfire, that will never be an issue.

On a slightly different note, I am a community organizer for S2ki.com. The site has been up a running for many years and has about 40,000 members. As far as I am concerned S2Ki is a very developed site with a huge following, yet in all the years I have been a member, never have I had the privilege of having a representative from Honda come onto the board in an official capacity and ask for our opinions directly.
