I've also noticed on my manual that I have to have the clutch fully engaged, that means the pedal way down, to engage the starter.

I've been drivin a stick for ages, and my mind is so conditioned to engaging the clutch, before turning the key, that it's pathetic.

When the weather thaws, I'm tempted to hunt down that switch, and permenantly jump out the wires.

I don't need no stinking limit switch to know how to start a car with a manual tranny...lol...
