Default Sprint Booster Question

Just wondering how significant the SB model # is to the application? For example the SB model # for the Crossfire NA automatic is SBCY0002S and the SLK 320 automatic is SBME0002S. Another example is the Crossfire SRT6, SBCY0022S and SLK32, SBME0022S. Is it a safe assumption the SB model # is specific to the engine and not make? Or maybe it's not even that critical, I know Beaner still has his SB on his car even though he's gone from a 3.2 litre NA to a 5.5 litre SC.
