Ok it has been two weeks since i hooked up my aftermarket head unit. I hooked the head units amplified wirers to the factory amp and have not had any problems.
Seems like a solution, I spoke with crutchfield and was told the factory radio used the amp in the head unit and then sent it to the amp, no pre-out.
Just wanted to pass the info.
