Default Picked up Garys' RED COUPE Today ..

Today I picked up the Red Coupe that Gary checked out for me in January. I was in Florida and the car was in Oak Park, IL. Gary met me there this AM and watched as the title was transfered, altho he didn't offer help with paying for it. LOL
Limited coupe with 17000 miles and came with an extra set of ContiWinter Tires mounted on Mercedes wheels with very little use. The original Continental All-Season tires still have a lot of tread left and probably good for at least another 10000 miles.
Now mind you ... I hadn't personally seen this car till this AM, only thru Garys eyes! Be that as it may, the car is virtually perfect, with only some very minor road rash on 2 of the wheels. Drove it back home to Huntley, IL, about 50 miles, and everything works as it should. Car is completely stock with no mods at all, (YET ... LOL), and was bought from the original owners wife. Original owner is deceased. It will need some TLC cleaning of the engine area and the usual break dust on the wheels, but the paint is in great shape, with no dents/dings on the body anywhere. As soon as weather permits a clay bar, and Mequiars Carnauba Gold wax will be performed.
In the trunk was a brand new set of Chrysler Crossfire mats, still sealed in the plastic part bag. Inspection of the ashtray showed a LipGloss and about $10.00 in quarters.
The console compartment had the usual collection of fuel receipts, pens, original key tags, and also a digital tire pressure gauge (very nice). The glove compartment had the owners manual and the "special tool".
Paperword included the original invoice, and a bill of laden from Karmann showing shipment points (Osnabruck to Bremerhaven to Baltimore). Also factory window sticker, all maintenance paperwork, and letters from Chrysler telling the owner not to panic because of their financial problems.
MANY KUDOS AND THANX TO GARY (VALK) FOR HIS HELP ......
See you at the CTGs and CAA Rocky Mountain and probably Woodward....
