yes sir, it is the pump failing...although there have been cases of the temp sensor going bad as well...I would replace the pump. It will give you no indications of failing. Your temperature gauge will read normal, as it is reading the intake temps...Johnson seems to be the favorite choice, although the Ford Lightening pump will work as well.
