I was hand washing the area up and around the (stock) exhaust ports and the car went into lock down mode! Pushed the area again and it UNlocked! Did it again with same results. No, my wife wasn't around the corner with the remote key either
Is this is a known feature of the XF?
Visual exam revealed nothing unusual. Could not find an exact "spot" that activated the response. Either Creepy, or very useful in a "left the key in the ignition and locked the door" moment.
Anyone else have this happen?

This is perfectly normal. Don't freak out. All you people here that don't know about this feature obviously didn't read the manual
If you unlock the car with the remote and never open the door the car will lock itself back up in about 30 seconds automatically.
So if you get out of the car and lock the doors... Then hit the unlock button on the remote and never open the door.... The car will automatically lock back up in about 30 seconds or a minute.
So no... It is not they key fob in your pocket.
