Also have you seen the way the hand build engines are made? They have a machine that cranks the bolts down to the proper specs at a single time.
this is a common thing on the benz forums. there are more and more threads popping up were the pulley is installed improperly and causing huge damage. the key word is "PROPERLY" the possibilty of damage for me anyway outweighs any performance gains.
as for handbuilt engines the machines may torque the bolts but the assembly is done by a single builder and everything is documented unlike an assembly line engine were they are handled by dozens of people . magical ? no. able to be replicated? again no
