Brighter yes but they burn out very quick.
If you answer yes to either of these qiestions you need to switch either to a quality HID or Sylvania Silverstar Halogins. I have 4 extra I could give to you at a good price.

OEM bulbs are 55 watt and you cannot get any legal ones higher than that. You can buy Osram Rallye bulbs which are over the legal wattage (65) and they are supposed to last very well and are classed plus plus.
They are $20 or $25 each, do a Google search and you will find them. Silver Star's are the ones that burn out quickly according to previous replies on the forum.
I think that they are brighter because the filament is thinner and burns more intensely and that results in the short life.
