'zip', I frequently take mine through the touchless car wash with no ill effects..... unless you have a major failure(i.e. big holes or breaks) of the enclosures for the electronics the car wash should be a non-issue....

If you are disconnecting the battery for resets I think it needs to be in the order of 30 mins or more for the systems to reset to defaults....
