Re: Supercharger?
I haven't had problems with the traction control, however- as for the plugs- I do want to go colder, just been lazy. I never spray on pump gas though, always run 110 unleaded at the track when I am spraying. I rarely spray any car on pump gas- not worth the risks. Once I get a datalogger, I will do more playing with spray and pump gas to see what it is doing and then maybe see if someone can do a custom tune according to the results. I just don't want to go too nuts with tuning/time/expense with the nitrous as I am going to boost it one way or another and it will all change then. I just put the spray on to make it more fun without pulling it off the road for major work during the summer- wanted to enjoy it first. I have all winter to let it sit apart.
Honestly though, if warranty is a concern- nitrous, forced induction, etc. shouldn't even be a consideration. The risk is too high- if you aren't prepared to take the hit yourself, don't do it. Trust me, financially I cannot "afford" to blow the car up right now either, but I know the risk I am taking and am prepared to face the consequences should the worst happen. If it were to happen right now, the car would be done until next summer so I have the time to get the funds together to fix it and then build it also. We have two crossfires and the WRX as "daily" cars, so if it breaks I will not be left walking, it would just suck since I do not have the $$$ to have it back on the road before winter!
Speaking of LS1 cars- I drove an 05 GTO today(I know, LS2- but similar) and think that will be my next car. I am trying to find something to get rid of the WRX for next year and I am torn between a Charger RT Hemi and the GTO. The GTO is more my style though. I would, of course, do bolt on's and spray on that one too lol.
