Default Turbo the V8 - your car could be next!

I started a turbo diary thread a while back and then went back and forth looking at a s/c or turbo. One thing that kept me off the turbo was tuning which seemed to require an AEM piggy back and I have been following the rotrex build and while I am confident he will get it sorted out, I wanted something more simple. I leaned heavily toward the s/c when I found a very reputable tuner that could do all the tuning in the stock ECU. I asked him if the tuning could be adapted to a turbo and the answer was yes. I have also had many conversations with Rudy about switching to a 55K ECU which would solve my key start issue and get rid of the MAF sensor. Also the 55K ECU with the correct MAP sensor expects to see boost. There will be some issues to figure out becuase the 55K wants to see a bypass valve, intercooler pump and s/c clutch, all of which I will not have. Doing my research I believe each of these issues can be addressed. Jerry at Eurocharged also feels that this is a sound direction and has offered to do the tuning as well as Ken Rudy at Dyno Comp in Phoenix. Jerry being in Houston is much closer to me and he tuned Importlabs car so has some experience. If this all works as planned, any na Crossfire could be turbo'd to 9-10 lbs of boost and produce SRT power+ without breaking the bank.
