1.) For Andrew - how do these adhere as in what's the sticky stuff? Are they paper thin like a decal or is there thickness to them? Is there surface prep required?
2.) For buyers - how do these hold up to climate? Especially the exterior ones that are exposed to sun, rain, cold, road grime, brake dust.
thank you for your interest in my custom srt emblems...
there is no need to alter the factory emblem...the decals adhere on top of the factory chrysler dome emblem. the original emblem will remain like new beneath the decal (no prying required)...so you can remove the decal for trade in/sale...or if it's not to one's liking down the road.
the decals are made from thermal imagining produced by a professional graphics company. the material is made from oracal and is designed for outdoor signs. the product has a 5 year plus life span for wear. it's extremely durable yet pliable enough to wrap or contour edges with its self adhesive backing - i had mine emblems on my car for over 4 years without any issue or wear, i live in ohio and drove my car year round in some harsh elements... drove it through car washes, power washed, etc.
as for the prep... the area needs to be cleaned with rubbing alcohol and dried prior to install... they are sent out in a very protected package along with simple yet detailed installation instructions.
