Re: cabin fan = helicopter
So this is what I did.
How to kill the chopper.
1. lay yourself down on your back in passenger foot area
2. unscrew 2 screws at the back easy to locate (not to the compartment box)
3. take off plastic cover (carefully bend it open)
4. BEWARE of dirt falling out. take out cabin filter and clean it with a vacuum cleaner (see it on pic. two white plastic pieces to be pulled apart on each side. then just pull the filter out)
5. unplug the blower motor fan contact.
6. BEWARE of dirt falling out. take away the cover with pulling the closing mechanism and pulling it away.
7. unscrew 4 torx and look for leaves and such. See picture.
8. re-install everything after having checked that all leaves are gone.
Voila! No chopper sound!
I have seen other guides but not regarding cleaning the blower motor fan. So hope it helped.
P.s. The leaf is just to illustrate and was not present IRL
