I'm not sure about the thumping sound but your problem with the TPMS could be one of the individual unit within the wheel. Those are pretty easy to break when getting new tires put on. A dealer or a good shop should be able check each wheel to see if one is broken. But before you do that check the pressure on each wheel to make sure you don't have a leak.
