I'm not positive, but the longer you drive it the more memory you build and less effect because it gets more and more averaging the more miles and time that go by. so a reset more often will give max effect. How it actually does it I'm not sure. I'm certainly no authority on XFires. I would just say the car uses the computer a lot to do many, many functions. I am learning all the time about this car.
