We had a pretty good storm blow through last night and I had to drive to my lab to check equipment in the middle of it. On the way here, I passed someone with >8K HID headlights. He was driving, literally, while blind. If it weren't for the streetlights, he would have had to park it and wait.
They aren't illegal here in Alabama, but they should be. They are just not safe for on-road use.
