The interesting thing about this possibility is that most everyone drives +10 mph compared to the posted speed limit already. And that's pretty much universal everywhere I've been in the USA with the exception of Ohio. I've been informed on multiple occasions in Ohio that the posted speed limit is THE SPEED LIMIT!!!
So would this mean that in Texas, with a posted speed of 85 mph, I could get away with 95 mph and not be ticketed. YOWSER!!!!
Higher posted speeds just mean higher driving speeds. That's really the main issue across the entire country for the insurance carriers. The speed limit isn't consistently enforced - unless it's a school zone!
Hell, folks don't even stop at STOP SIGNS!!! And nevermind a RED LIGHT!!! These are threadlines in & by themselves!!!
Oh well, I never pay much attention to posted speed limits anyway. I figure posted speed limits are for the vast majority that are incapable of handling a car at high speed and that doesn't apply to me!!!!!!
