Re: Uh Oh. WTF is going here. The alarm won't turn off!
SKREEM module is behind the instrument cluster
SKREEM
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to Page 8J-83.
3. Disconnect the 2-pin CAN bus harness connector (1) from
the SKREEM.
4. Disconnect the 2-pin harness connector for the sentry key
antenna ring.
5. Disconnect the 18-pin harness connector (1) from the
SKREEM.
6. Press the retaining tabs apart.
7. Remove the SKREEM from the base plate.
If my siren was giving me problems I would disconnect it and take it out and then decide if I really needed the bloody thing or not.
I have not studied the manual on this subject but most of these systems have a diagnosis procedure. Most of these consist of the use of a multimeter, the results of the tests determine if the part is OK or f'd up.
Now we cannot expect your local Crossfire trained mechanic do this as he will make more money throwing new parts at your car until it is fixed or he shrugs and walks away.
Stealerships know that you expect to be ripped off when you put yourself at their mercy, so they oblige you and do as you expect, they rip you off.
Another dissatisfied customer who got what he expected.
