Nobody likes to lose money, that's a given. But I personally don't know anybody that "invests" in new cars to make money either. Simply enjoy the car for what it is. One terrific handling, great looking, well built, and quick little sports car. Sure there's going to be some cars that are faster, some that hold their value better, and even some that are more desirable, but not many, especially not at the price most of us paid for our Xfires. Trust me, if ya keep it for 35 years, it will be worth more than you paid for it.
