The 2nd problem is the original plastic back has a slot cut where the transmitter fits into (little black chip that your computer recoginizes and allows your car to start). The New MB FOB doesw not have this slot in the plastic so I had to guage out the slot. I did this by heating up a sharp hole cutting drill bit to easily carve out the square I needed untill the transmitter would fit into the slot and the white piece could fit in all the way down properly.

The other issue is with the Key itself not fitting properly because the metal bezel the key fits in (metal piece that the spring/pin goes into) is a different shape & size causing the key to get stuck when trying to close it (pictures show the differences in the original bezels and the new MB FOB).
To overcome this issue I swapped the bezel's using my old key and the new MB bezel. This creates even more work since the slot in the new bezel is too small for your old key. I had to file down the area where my original key fits into the slot with a metal file to get it to fit.
(see pictures) you have to punch out the pin that holds the keys in the bezels and swap them and then it will flip out properly.
