No....not an American thing. It is a CAR thing. Drop the damn hammer, power second, and hang on until you power 3rd, etc. That is what you do when you go all out with your car. If you can't do that, it is your thing...not ours...I love to do this, hoping for more traction most of the time, but love to do it. My wallet loses in the long run...
