Just to play devils advocate... the fans might be beneficial while sitting idle, but what about while driving? How much do they restrict air flow? Do they provide sufficient air flow to make up for what they block? What are your IAT's at idle, with and without? IAT's while driving, with and without?

As far as 'they have a great sound'.... the prefect sound would be 'silent'..
