It's a supercharger, not a turbocharger, so don't be worried. It's powered by the drive belt, not the hot exhaust gases.
My current SSB SRT is my second supercharged car, after my low boost Buick Riviera.
There are many worries to a supercharged car, but usually not anything inside the engine. Gaskets and seals go on any kind of engine and must always be addressed, especially on a boosted car. But the MB engines are largely bulletproof.
FWIW I paid about the asking price for a car with 50% more mileage than the one you looked at
