If you get the kit, keep the old caps and you will be able to modify them if you install HID's.
If you have already got HID's keep them as spares in case you go back to OEM specs for some reason, you never know.
Some of the kit (one cap and plugs) and an OEM cap and vents.

I never had condensation problems at all and I attribute it to DTRL's, major problems I think are caused by a leaking headlamp unit.
