we run into this alot at work, airbag lights are a PITA. Its not going to go off (deploy) by itself. The light indicates a problem with the system thats all. Find a shop that works on german vehicles or specializes in euro cars and they will be able to fix/diagnose the problem. We had a mini that the BMW dealer couldnt work on but a local shop fixed it no problemo.

BTW, I advise everyone to find a good shop that can/will work on our cars. Ive the extended chrysler warrenty and have a dealership with a trained XF tech but Ive also got a local german car repair shop that works on my car too...a good backup. Go out of your way to make friends with these type of shops ie., a case of beer, cause they are worth the effort
