Jason I have to agree with you. It would not be the first time that a common manufacture was concerned over image and performance over vehicles with different names same builder. In the eighties GM had issues with Buick building Regals that were showing up Vettes in the quarter mile. Just let us all be grateful that the Crossfire was nothing like the result of a one night stand Chrysler had with another company, which resulted in one butt ugly problem child. The Maserati TC.
