I believe that the issue may be related to the battery. Have a look to see the colour of the battery. If it's white it is the original and when they go they cause funny stuff to happen to electronics, engine and noteably the spoiler. My car does not have the pop-up spoiler so I'm no expert but others will likely tell you what the issue could be.
