when you put your door panel back on all will work ok the little screw on the cover by the door latch that is attached to the door actuates the door ajar switch. of corse the bcm takes a while to recognise the door is open and turns on the dome lite open and close the door a few times after you put door panel back on and you will be fine. with out the little screw in, the bcm (body control module ) does not know the door is open and so it does not turn on dome lite
