i see a lot of outdated references and would like to clarify. my 03 slk32 has outer dimming mirrors inner dimming mirror turn signals in the mirrors rain sensor wipers and for the time integrated fone in the stereo system. its also a hardtop vert so wiring wasn't an issue. heated and power seats were standard not an option.

as for the xfire being built on a 97 chassis thats partially incorrect. the r170 bodystle came out in 97 but only in a 4 cal s/c engine. the xfire is based more on the facelifted 2001 to 2004 r170 which came with the 3.2 6 cylinder engine and suspension to support it. if you want turn signals in the mirrors try the r170 instead of the r171 body
