anyway.. I got screwed over on aftermarket parts and modifications.. so I decided that I needed a car that would stand out without excessive modification.. and I saw a Crossfire listed locally.. and thus my search began.

I'm waiting on the insurance payout to take effect, then I'm going to be headed about 7 hours away to pick up an '05 base model, black, standard, 22,500 miles, no body damage whatsoever, 1 owner..

I do I.T. work for a living, and I make my cars a major part of my life because driving is one of the things that I find the most enjoyable in life.. that being said, I'm able to turn a wrench just as fluently as I can fix computer issues --

The choice came down to a gunmetal/silver '04 with 88k on it for $10k out the door (from a dealership so that has TTL and whatnot included), or an '05 with 22k on it for $11k from a private party.. it's not a very hard decision. I don't like new cars, but when I buy used, I want very little mileage. My '03 mustang, bought in 2010, had 43k when I bought it.

The only thing I'm really concerned about is Chrysler and their notorious lack of consideration as far as providing Xfire owners body parts... but I guess that will be more of an issue for the insurance company to worry about the next time a drunk driver tries to take me out.
Hi chris I'm will

Welcome to the forum

If you dont mind tell me a little more about how you got screwed on your mods. My srt4 is heavily modded and I've often wondered what'd happen if someone hit it.
