Well I finally took it in and they are going to repaint it! Now for the reason why it happened in the first place. When the hatch was closed if you pulled up on it, there was about little bit of play in it. So what they did was adjusted the height of the thing the latch latches to. We checked one of the new ones they had on their lot and there should be no play in the hatch at all or this will happen.
