Default Do you have a spare...

Do you have a spare one of these......

If not, you might condsider having one. I was putting the intake back on today and noticed the gasket between the TB and SC intake was cracked. I had been getting an occaisional P0505 error and had gone through all the clamps and not solving it. Started thinking I might have a gasket leak on the plenums.
Fortunately I had bought TWO when I had this happen about 1 1/2 years or so ago. This made it very easy to fix as it is just 4 screw to get the TB off and 4 more to get the gasket off.
NOTE: DONT forget to put the hose back on the bottom of the TB when you put it back on. Your car will idle at 2400rpm after startup!! DOH! The part was UNDER $10 at the Chrysler dealer. The Chrysler part number is 05159305AA.
FYI, The C32/SLK32 dont use it. The back end of their SC does not have the tilt up that the Crossfire SC does.

Here is a pic of my original failure part. The one I replaced this morning was cracked like this but didnt break on the inside that I could see. I am sure it had one or more tiny holes that opened under torque giving me the P0505.
