I use the Meguiars cleaner/conditioner in spray bottle, never have seen any streaks , however I wipe it down with a micro towel. If you don't like that look or feel don't worry it will wear off, or try some mild soap with micro towel. You didn't do any damage, and I have been told it is good for the leather as far as preventing cracks and dry rot. Good Luck
