Mike - Thanks for the info. What should I do now? Do I need to remove the residue from the wipes and then get cleaner/conditioner and treat the leather? Or should I wait a couple of weeks till the stuff wore off and then treat it?

On a second look, the leather really does look better already from the wipes. The person before me did not take care of the seats and so they were real dry but not wrinkles or cracks fortunately!
