I agree with you in principle, but from what I've read on these posts, MB in their infinite engineering wisdom, designed in a catch all spot that retains a pool of oil in the valve cover and degrades the gasketing material over time. Is this true? I don't know, but alot of the people on this forum seem to know alot more than me. I'm just saying....
