Default Re: Radar Detector; Price An Issue

The car has no bearing on the detector. The Valentine 1 is rated highest but is pricey. I'm partial to Bel 965. My first Bel lasted almost 6 years of heavy use. I've had this unit for close to 3 years and it is giving me plenty of warning and was under $200. Knowing direction of radar, the big gimmick with the V1, is nice but as soon as mine chirps I slow down. I am getting 1/2+ mile warning on straight aways.
