Default Re: Radar Detector; Price An Issue

Regardless of the detector, I've found that speeding 15mph+ over the limit just ain't worth the risk. Get caught +14mph in many states and you're a super speeder and have the honor of an additional $200 over the face value of a $185 ticket. Get caught +29 in many states and it's reckless driving. Ouch.

The V1 is good, but I've had much better reliability by just watching driver nuances ahead when you are in medium traffic. You are just being plain stupid to speed when there is light or no traffic, regardless of the detector you have. Go 12mph over the limit if you must. Having a new Crossfire makes it hard to beat down the urge.

Good luck ... or get out your wallet.
