Default Re: Gateway Crossfire Group

Well, to those Indianna hoosiers that couldn't get outta bed and come to the Gateway covered bridges rally, ya really missed a good time.

Just got home. We'll load some pictures later but we saw 15 or so coverd bridges and a grist mill. They all looked alike and seemed alike, but just like Banjo tunes one could tell them apart easily. Along with some subtile differences they all had separate names.

Aside from that, Friday was spent at Shoes BBQ where we met local folks, bikers mostly, grilled our own steaks (huge 1" thick rib Eyes(YUMMMMMM) and had an Amberbockin good time.

Saturday was Bridge time and a good hour or so of it at the Bridgeton Mill. What a story there. More later.

Saturday nite the car show. Some decent rides came in. Two Ford GT 500s, lots of 60's Mopar and some decently rendered 50's chopped, lowered, customed rods.

Sadly, not one Crossfire.???????????

Met a wonderful couple at the B&B. "UP For Anything" folks like ourselves and they fell for the Crossies.

Crumpy took the wife out first in the SRT and she came back with a perma grin. She said two things. First she said, "You have to take my Hubby out in that thing, he will love it." And then she related how everytime Crumpy slowed down she would say "OOOOOOh push it again!"

He also came back with a permagrin and I would bet a dinner on it. They are hooked.

So' anybody know of a roadster, decent milage, Red, auto. That's their first choice.
His,,,,,,SRT roadster, color doesn't matter. Hmmmm,,,,,wonder what
Crumpy did to impress that idea upon him?

They are from Normal Illinois.
Contact Me or ERZER if you have a lead.

Or them if they join the Forum.

I'll let them introduce themselves and give names.

The best thing about Crossies is the people they meet along the way.

Thanks again to Mr's ERZER for setting this one up.

And to you OHIO Valley guys, next time the Gateway folks set a party near your turf,,,,,, don't miss it. We know how to have a goooooooooooooooood time.

roadster with a stick

BTW, I almost forgot, it was great to see ya Larry Hitze. Three Blaze red Crossfires made me out the oddball Aero Blue. But it was worth it to share a beer and a Steak with ya.
