There are additional instructions, not covered in the manual, on the Homelink web site for programming specific openers that don't behave the way they should. I had to get the directions for my Genie opener from their web site and it worked like a charm....nothing in the manual came close to programming it. It's worth the time to look it up if you can't get it to work from the directions given in the manual. It really is convenient and works from a much greater distance than the remote opener (or at least mine does).
