LOSING COOLANT IN SRT6 (any ideas)
Interesting, I am losing coolent. It is not leaking on the ground. It is not coming out the exhust. It is not showing up in the oil. But, it is dissapearing. Where tf is it going? The dealer service manager is going to drive it for a few days and measure the loss. They have no clue where it is going. My extended warrenty is with Fedelity as opposed to Chrysler and they will only pay if there is a factual problem.....Ghosts don't count.....The dealer must be able to say this is what is causing the problem. If it were the Chrysler extended Warrenty, they could simply tear the engine down to find or not find the problem without costing me anything other than the $100 deductible.
This coolent loss issue has been going on for a few months.
Any ideas.
Last week the dealer replaced the CPS. They will be replacing the O2 sensor today.
The car had been missing, showing misfire on cylinders 1,3,4. I would pull over, turn the car off and restart the car and it would run fine. The engine light comes on and the pending codes were misfire. That is why the CPS was replaced. I only drove the car for a week when the engine light came back on with the O2 sensor code and coolent light. The car's temperature fluctuates slightly just below too just above the 1/2 way mark.
