Same as stock, the return line runs from the filter/regulator under the the car back into the tank. Instead of the regulator being under the hood it has a long dead head line going to the fuel rail and keeps the return line short. Opposite of your Mustang.
But the one in the picture was in the engine bay? That actually looks like exactly what I was talking about lol, except the fittings look like pipe thread instead of AN.
Woody, did you re-tap your $140 regulator with 3/8 npt? There are fittings that go -6 or -10 (depending on regulator) to 3/8.
