The car was on you tube, and was on a few "burn out" photos...right here on the forum....that should have given you a little knowledge of the car's history...Mine sees the track once in a great while, the roadster that is, and the coupe has yet to make it's debut. As long as you service them, treat them right, replace what you break, the cars that see the track and are parked in the garage the rest of the time, are quite ready when needed. Mine gets the best of everything. Of course, they aren't for sale either...but when the time comes, most know the cars already....from this forum...and the get togethers...
I had no problem with the car being run hard, I do the same (street, track, autocross and 1/4). I'm on my 3rd set of rear tires in 30,000 miles and I have drag radials and A6's mounted on extra rims.
The seller did discuss a coolant leak on the forum and had it in the shop to be checked but went back and changed/deleated the posts, he also included three gallons of collant in the trunk with the other spare parts that went with the sale?
The price was right, no issues I can't or haven't fixed and it came with gold coverage.

The point is, just because someone is nice or fun to be around does not make them trustworthy.
